Starling & Wee Heavy’s Candlelit Celebration

Starling & Wee Heavy’s October wedding was a joyful, affirming, queer celebration through and through. From the custom attire to the color palette inspired by the genderqueer flag, every detail was a reflection of their identities and love story.

Surrounded by community and candlelight at the Abernethy Center, they said their vows under a floral chuppah and closed out the night dancing under a sea of bubbles to “Rebel Rebel” by David Bowie.

It was our honor to help bring their vision to life—from a genderqueer flag photo booth to a weekend full of intentional touches (including not one, but two cakes, and a groom’s cake featuring their beloved pups.)
