Justine (she/her) is a passionate community builder, event planner, and stylist. The founder of Together Events, she helps couples craft meaningful partnerships through thoughtful celebrations and ensures that every event she designs is unique, inclusive, and memorable.

Beginning her event design career in nonprofit spaces, she is passionate about incorporating socially conscious practice into her work through ethical vendor sourcing, minimizing waste during events, and providing an inclusive service for couples of all shapes and sizes.

Maryam (she/her) Managing Partner at Together Events and Co-Owner at Greater Good Events. She brings over 20 years of creative consulting, social impact, and event planning experience to the team. She has worked across state and continental lines to design and deliver unique and thoughtful weddings, galas, conferences, and experiences. With an eye for design and the handmade, Maryam is always striving to incorporate meaningful and personalized elements to experiences without increasing costs or complexity. After all, it's the thoughtful touches that really leave guests talking about your event long after the last glass of champagne has been poured. 

Maryam lives in Astoria, New York, with her husband, Ross, and stepdaughter, Emma. When not working on events, she's organizing in her community to advance individual dignity and collective equity with Astoria Mutual Aid Network and QNS Collaborative, or getting her hands dirty (literally) with her own creative hobby (Check out her tie-dye on Etsy).

SAM PARINO

EVENT DIRECTOR

Sam is a human-first planner, bringing over a decade of experience in event management, people development, and nonprofit leadership to the team. Sam’s portfolio includes designing, planning, and leading weddings, professional retreats and conferences, and live entertainment events, from concerts to celebrity speaking engagements. Sam holds a Masters of Science in Event Management from NYU’s Tisch Center of Hospitality, where she produced original research for event professionals to leverage DEI strategies in their work. Her passion for, and commitment to, incorporating the full human experience into her events has made her a trusted partner to clients from coast to coast.

A Queer native New Yorker, Sam was born and raised in Brooklyn, where she currently resides with her little devil of a cat, Damian. Sam’s approach to life mirrors her approach to events: infuse joy into the everyday. Things that bring her joy include deep talks about astrology (she’s a Leo, unsurprisingly), all things Spooky Szn, and stating her case on why NYC is the greatest city in the world.

    Margaret Efthim

    ASSOCIATE PLANNER

    Margaret (she/they) has been an Associate Planner with the Together Events team since 2021. Bridging her background in television production with her passion for event producing, Margaret brings hands-on creative experience to the table. She is dedicated to making high-impact, low-hassle events accessible for all. Margaret believes that the most memorable celebrations are created by caring communities, and that's why she loves working with Together Events.

    Margaret resides in Brooklyn, New York. When she's not organizing events in her community, she enjoys supporting local musicians and drag performers. She also loves to venture throughout upstate New York and discover vintage treasures.

    MELISSA LEE

    ASSOCIATE PLANNER

    For the past 10 years, Melissa (she/her) has been involved in event planning with nonprofits, higher education, and wedding coordination. She has a passion for inclusive design and working with local vendors invested in their communities. Melissa likes to reimagine what wedding celebrations can look like and help couples create a celebration that aligns with their values.

    Melissa lives in Portland with her cat, Ginny. When she’s not working, you can find her off in the woods hiking and camping or exploring new places to eat in Portland. She is also an avid baker and cook who loves to bring people together in community over delicious food.

    ASSOCIATE PLANNER

    Kelly (she/her) joined the Together Events team as an Associate Planner in 2021. With experience planning intimate gatherings, awareness events, and nonprofit galas, she is eager to dive into the upcoming wedding season! Kelly is passionate about creating fun and authentic events and stress-free celebrations that reflect what’s important to partners and their communities.

    Kelly has lived in Astoria, New York for four years and loves getting to know her neighborhood. Outside of Together Events, she can be found crafting, thinking up enriching activities for nannying, and tending to her houseplants.

    Anita Pandian

    ASSOCIATE PLANNER

    Anita (she/her) is a freelance event producer working throughout the tristate area specializing in weddings, fashion events, and creative services. With a background in fashion public relations, Anita has experience in events both large and small, working in New York and her home state of Texas for many years. Anita has a passion for event planning and loves knowing that clients can look back on their weddings and remember it as an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience—instead of remembering how stressful it was.

    Anita is a longtime resident of the West Village, where she lives with her dog, Alex, and her cat, Rico. She is an avid connoisseur of Texas BBQ and a lover of all things Bravo TV. When not planning events, she’s busy prepping for her future on a farm in Upstate New York.

    Anita has worked with Together Events since 2018.
